It’s that time of the month for steam, apparently. Semaphores, SteamGetEncryptionKeyToSendToNewClient and other stupidness.

Aliens vs Predator 3 just released these patch notes: http://forums.sega.com/showthread.php?t=320782 that detail some changes to their dedicated server.  They claim it will be available with the HLDS command line tool.  I wonder if this means it will support Linux as well…

Aliens vs Predator 3 (AvP3) has the worst designed dedicated server ever.

We’re waiting… we’re watching… we’re contacting people.  Apparently the AvP3 team does not care enough to let GSPs prepare for customers by providing game server files before launch!  We’re going to get our hands on the files as soon as possible.  Stay tuned!
